New Zealand Style : Precast Concrete Walls House

Designed by New Zealand architecture firm Daniel Marshall Architects, this precast concrete walls house injects some urban flair into its suburban surroundings. Located in Auckland, this contemporary style concrete house was designed for a young family with two boys – which meant plenty of open spaces were a must. And to ensure every inch of the indoors gets its own piece of nature, the expansive glass wall facade with walkouts to the balconies frames some of Mother Nature’s best, visible from any point in this home. Modern minimalist living is a prevailing theme inside of the precast walls, where cool, clean finishes meet the green suburban views head-on. And, as might be expected with a home so rooted in alfresco living, a warm yet contemporary outdoor entertaining area – complete with a corner fireplace – is surely the hotspot, day or night. Beautiful Recycled Wood Cottage Designs in Chile

“Welcome home” is the feeling you get in this recycled wood cottage by Juan Luis Martinez Nahuel. Located on a steep hillside about an hour’s drive from Panguipulli, Chile, the wood-clad cottage blends beautifully with its woody surroundings. This home also embraces its “roots” indoors, where nature and comfort and key. “Cozy” and “eclectic” are words that come to mind with the rustic cabin look and hand-me-down feel of the recycled wood used to construct and finish the cottage. The massive fireplace is a welcomed imposition, surrounded by glass to lend interiors that outdoors feeling. Floor-to-ceiling folding glass walls, framed in natural wood, open onto an outdoor sheltered deck that runs the length of the home, offering a fabulous outdoor entertaining area in any weather. Vacation Home Design – Outdoor Fun in the Sun

This vacation home design by New York-based Murdock Young Architects is made for fun in the sun. The Cutler Residence is a contemporary cliff-side home overlooking Block Island Sound, with breathtaking forest and Atlantic Ocean views stretching as far as the eye can see. To make the most of the natural vistas, this coastal house was designed with great glass walls and lots of outdoor entertaining areas, both on the main and upper levels. The facade of this wood clad house blends beautifully with the lush, green landscape (and to keep its surroundings green, the architects designed this vacation home in such a way as to make a minimal impact on the environment). The contemporary shape of the house is matched by its modern, minimalist interiors, made to promote relaxation and socialization with family and friends. Modern Pharmacy Building and Interior Designed by KLab Architecture

A virtual building, cover area in approximate 600m2, has shifted our perspective on conventional shape of pharmacy. A placebo pharmacy, located in Athens, Greece, turns to be excruciating building for the reformation of the octagonal shape into a cylinder in order to accomplish a spiral which is consistent with the density of Vouliagmenis Avenue, the urban artery on which the building stands. The panels of the façade are punctured using Braille which informs the system used on pharmaceutical packaging and allows the light to penetrate the interior. In inside of the building, the circular frontage becomes an exhibition of the product which a ramp up to the upper lever symbolizes the active movement of the exterior into the interior space. This pharmacy is designed into two floors. The first floor is the shop space consisting of ancillary office space used as a temporary surgery for visiting health professionals. The pharmacy is in a radial pattern with the main cashiers desk acting as the central point and giving the cashier the ability to look around the whole area from the desk. The drug dispensary, preparation areas and toilets are also situated off this radial pattern. This Hollywood Hills contemporary home by architects David Thompson and Kevin Southerland of L.A.-based Assembledge studio is clearly inspired by the surrounding landscape. This hillside villa offering the perfect vantage point to take it in the breathtaking 180-degree views of Los Angeles. Set on a rare, flat parcel of land in this slope site, the house plan features simple geometric forms with a horizontal, low-profile silhouette. The integration of indoor and outdoor living rooms really brings a new level of living to this home. Whether on the ground or upper level, there is always an outdoor connection, be it via a walkout to the garden or pool, along the balcony encircling the upstairs, or even just by virtue of the massive glass walls and skylights enclosing the space while letting the outdoors in. The only toss-up of this contemporary home is which views are tops – those by day or the glimmering lights at night! Assembledge

Location 78 is one of those amazing photographic locations that can be rented to shoot an advertising, a presentation or something else. It’s located in East London and owned by photographer Graham Atkins-Hughes and stylist Jo Akins-Hughes. The main feature of the house is its dark interiors. All rooms are done in dark shades of brown, blue and gray. Even though dark interiors are quite challenging to design owners of this house have managed to do a great job. Everyone who likes dark and moody interiors can get some inspiration from these clean and smooth interiors.

This project didn’t begin from a scratch. The starting point is an estate home located along scenic Mulholland Drive in the hills of Los Angeles. The Stoneridge Residence as it is named, is a show home for the Avenues of Art & Design group of West Hollywood in collaboration with Luxe Magazine. One of the result shown here is probably the living room that connects the first floor to the second floor. The finest appeal is the combination of white and natural color that blend nicely with the free inflow of natural lighting, making it fresher. And it would even be prettier with addition of certain amount of greenery here and there, which will make the room more alive and enthusiastic. These is a collection of lovely interior pictures that really inspire anyone to have new way to enjoy an interior design. And if i have to choose one favorite among these beautiful interiors, i think i can quickly decide on the living room that overlooks the sea. I mean, it’s simply lovely, and got me wandering away inside this room enjoying fine evening with sweet hot tea among close friends and family. The glass wall is really optimizing the full view of the beautiful landscape, making you feel at ease and peace. And that is not the only thing. The interior it self is softly colored in ivory white with smooth sofas and fine table. The furniture arrangement is cleverly positioned so that the room is able to provide enough space for several people to feel the free air and to move around. Well, that’s my preference.
